After procedure, you will be moved to the recovery area where you will be closely monitored until you are ready to go home.
The management of your pain is of great importance to us. We will be assessing your level of pain from the time of admission until you receive our postoperative call at home.
When you are fully awake, your family-friend may be able to join you. Although the times vary, most patients are discharged 1 to 3 hours after surgery.
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire about the care you received. Your comments will enable us to continue to improve our services. You may take this home to complete.
Before you leave Centers for Special Surgery you will be given written discharge instructions for your care at home.
